frequently asked questions

What is your season?

We book weddings starting in June until the second week of October.

What is your rental time frame?

For a relaxing set up and clean up, we book only one wedding a week and provide a multiple day schedule. This also insures there is no rush to have rentals and decor removed the night of the wedding.

You may have your officiant run ceremony rehearsal on either Thursday or Friday.

Saturday is for the main event, with music ending by 11:00 PM. All parties must vacate the grounds by 11:30pm, with vendor breakdown complete by 12am.

Sunday we will schedule a time with you to pick up any personal belongings and decor.

How late can the event go?

Music ends at the town curfew of 11pm. All guests must vacate the grounds by 11:30pm.  Vendor break down must be complete by 12am

How does the bar work?

All alcohol must be provided by About Thyme Farm. Please request our Venue Guide for more details.

What vendors can we use?

All vendors must be approved by us at least 2 months before the wedding. You will be provided with a preferred vendor list. While you are not required to utilize these vendors, it is highly encouraged for a seamless event.

Do you require a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is not required but highly encouraged. We have amazing planners who we recommend on our preferred vendor list.

What about parking?

We have a 75 car capacity on the property. Cars are allowed to be parked overnight but must be cleared of the property by 11am on Sunday.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

in the case of inclement weather, the ceremony may be moved to the parlor inside of the barn which fits up to 100 chairs with more space available in the main barn.

How do I book a date?

Contact us by emailing Lucas at info@aboutthymefarm.com to see if your date is available and set up a tour. Once the contract is signed and the 50% non-refundable retainer is paid, your date is secure!

Where are you located? Can I come see the farm?

Baileys Harbor is just a two minute drive away from our farm at 8425 County Road F with many restaurants, a brewery, beaches, and waterfront park. Our farm is not open to the public but we are happy to schedule a tour with you.

Is the farm a working farm?

Yes! Our farm is a real working farm with a true farm-to-table dinning experience!  We strive to use our and other locally grown produce for our in house catering.  We also have a few farm animals that add to the Door County charm.
